Istanbul is one of the most visited cities in the world and has been the capital of three empires: the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman. The call to prayer five times a day, and the people who scurry from place to place in search of something undefined, are among the things that stay with you. The people’s eyes are in a permanent state of observation, it’s as if they are trying to find our soul through our eyes. What strikes us first upon arriving in Istanbul is the crowd you see everywhere. All you see are people everywhere, moving from one place to another. During our stay we were left captivated by the history of ancient Constantinople and its natural landscapes: the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus. Saleh (from Lybia) & Noha (from Egypt) are a couple full of energy that share a unique harmony. When we received their email request to film their wedding video in Istanbul – we could not believe it! We had never been to Istanbul, and it was a dream for us. The wedding venue was Sait Halim Paşa Yalısı, which is a palatial building right on the Bosphorus. We were very impressed with everything. Their wedding was an explosion of vitality and happiness; with every guest dancing into the night. The wedding music reflected the dual soul of Istanbul. No visitor can remain indifferent to the contrasts of a city too Oriental to be European, and too Western to be Asian. The highlights of the wedding video summarize, in just three minutes, one of the most beautiful days of our lives.
